Soimus - the centre of the village. Is located southern of the territorial administrative unit. South part of the village is surrounded by the Mures river. The village is conglomerate type with some tentacles. On his territory have been discovered prehistoric remains belonging of the Turdas Culture , of early bronze age, like archaeological traces of  roman era. The village have 414 houses and a population of 1130.Economical speaking the village is well represented : produce furniture for export, garments and metal fabrication. The agriculture brings incomes to the villagers, here runs sales an agricultural association.

Balata - is located in the south-east part of the village. His configuration is string together type. In the village are constructed 128 houses, lived by 392 villagers. Most houses are along the DJ 761 that makes the connection between Deva and villages Harau and Certej. The economy of the village is given by agriculture and poultry units  for meat, and processing of the meat. At Balata exist a farm with of 200 elite-cows. 

Boholt - located in the north-east part of the village, is inline type ,along the Boholt valley and of DJ 761.Is the area with the most attractive landscapes of all Soimus commune. Here is a natural reservation located on the Tei’s Valley, that includes a sector of docks, digged by that valley. Here in the village are located important mineral water springs. This settlement is lived from prehistory, the proof are the marks of the Cotofeni Culture. It has been reported a settlement belonged to the Petresti Culture, not speaking of the marks of roman living-rustic villa. In the area were discovered medieval archeological materials and later were made monetary discoveries of 17th century. Boholt village have in present 141 houses and 330 villagers. The economical potential of the village is give by the mineral water springs and the bottling plant. The mineral water is carbonated, ferruginous, bicarbonated , calcic , magnezian , hypotonic. It is used in the treatment of digestive diseases and renal diseases ,also used as drinking water.

Bejan - is the third village (after Balata and Soimus) whose southern side is drowned by the Mures river. Actually  in this specific area Mures’s waters are limited by a barrage(at Mintia) that forms a little water storage(for thermal factory).From Bejan area are coming some prehistoric remains – polished axes made of andesite - belonged to  Cotofeni Culture. In the village were discovered marks of roman era like mine and pit of Bejan. The village is located in the south-west part of the commune .The village is agglomerate type. Is lived by 268 villagers. as 126 houses. On his territory is located the most modern animal market in the whole Hunedoara country, also popular in the neighboring countries through the animals brought in the market and also by another category of goods used for selling.

Paulis - located in the west side of the village, is spreading along the road that heads to north-west, to Baita village. Paulis village is located at 5 km of the centre of the commune, on the middle course of Caian river ,at the foot of Muncel hill. In Paulis are built 73 houses, lived by 266 persons. Until the last administrative territorial reorganization of the country, Paulis was the centre of the village.

Chiscadaga - is the second settlement as number of inhabitants, after the centre village. Chiscadada is located in the north side of the commune, bordering with other villages like the villages of Baita and Certeju de sus. The village is conglomerate type and counts 151 houses and 425 inhabitants. In Chiscadaga are located important production units in the building materials industry: binder factory and chalk factory. For this reason we can say that the village is the most well economical represented, and brings important income to the local budget.

Sulighete - located at 12 km from the centre of the commune, on a country road, the village is on the superior course of Valisoara river’s  valley. Guarded by the hills Corbul,Paiusul,Maresti, Paraiesti and Stilpul,Sulighete village is composed of a total of 106 households according to statistics from 2013 and 267 inhabitants according to census from 2011.

Fornadia - is located on Deva-Brad road, at a distance of 10 km from the centre of the village. Fornadia is guarded by the Pervesti hills. In the village are built 98 houses , lived by 205 inhabitants.

Cainelu de Jos - is located in the west side of the village . Historical remains (polished stone axe) and roman remains (coins and miners settlements) attest age of the village. Explain why, because this settlement is on one of the stairs near Mures river , also near some gold mines from the area. The settlement is lined type, the most majority of the 73 houses are located along the DN 76 Deva-Brad. The village counts 266 inhabitants.
